Basic ideas for the fanfiction pitch

  • Kokoro connect has 5 main characters -
    1. Taichi (male)
    2. Aoki (male)
    3. Yui (female)
    4. Inaba (female)
    5. Iori (female)

This is a fanfiction arc so it might not be feasible to introduce all the characters again, the way it was done in the actual story.

The actual story revolves around a group of 5 students who are put through mind bending situations by an antagonist, <heartseed>, who is a shapeless entity that interacts with the group by possesing a teacher, usually.

First time, it was swapping bodies, the second was desire unleashing (ie. at random occasions, they can't control their instincts), The third one was age regression, and the fourth one was Emotional transmission, where some thoughts and feelings would be transmitted to a different member of the group. There are more, but you get the basic idea.

For this script, I would be going with a phenomenon where members will be reliving fragments of other member's memories. They won't know whose memories they are living through, and they try to figure all of it out.

Skeleton

  1. Intro
    1. Members introduced breifly
    2. Start getting a few flashbacks, varying in time range, seconds to a few minutes
    3. <heartseed> tells them that they are technically borrowing each other's past. He does not give any other explanation.
  2. Escalation
    1. Memories start to get personal.
    2. Also, much more emotionally intense.
    3. Trust issues occur
    4. Members try to figure out whose memories they are experiencing.
    5. member start to avoid talking, to avoid the pain.
  3. Climax
    1. Breaking point for a particular member.
    2. Their sense of identity starts to get a bit blurred.
  4. Resolution and epilogue
    1. Someone (probably inaba or taichi ig) suggests that they start to fill each other in about the memories to avoid identity problems.
    2. The phenomenon gradually stops after this.
    3. <heartseed> appears and congratulates them. the group is still angry at it.
